Who can attend the event?

This event is open to everyone. Parents, guardians, teachers, mentors, adolescents are all likely to find this session useful. Please come and join the session if you would like to hear more information about what mental health services and support are available in Enfield for children and young people; what changes or updates have been made during the Coronavirus pandemic; how services are being developed in future, or if you have any questions you would like to ask the panel.

Why you should join the session

More children and young people than ever have been affected by mental health over the past year during the pandemic. If they have never needed support before, or if you have responsibility for a child or young person who now needs some extra help, you may not even be aware of what is available on your doorstep. If you have accessed services in the past you may not have heard about changes or new services. This is your chance to catch up and keep informed of what support is available if ever you or someone you support needs it. If you have questions it is a chance to speak directly to the people running the services and charities and have your voice heard.

How to join the session

The short answer is that you can join the session by video or telephone. We will be sending out a link everyone who is registered the day before the event.

You can switch your camera off and mute your speaker if you want to. Just listening is fine.

On the other hand, if you would like to keep them switched on, that is fine too.

The panel of experts come from a range of mental health services including charities and the Local Authority, and will start off by giving a short introduction about what services there are in Enfield that are available to you for free.

If you have submitted a question in advance you can ask it personally or we will ask it on your behalf (anonymously if preferred).

If we have time, we will then take questions from the audience, either through the chat box or by raising your hand.

Access needs

Please let us know as soon as possible, if you have any access needs and/or if you require a BSL interpreter. We look forward to you joining us.

Submit your questions

It is really helpful if you could send questions in advance at the time of booking. This helps us to fact check beforehand so we have all the information for you on the day and make sure we cover the topics most important to those joining the session.

When booking your place you will be invited to submit a question if you wish. You will be given the option to ask the question yourself on the day or request that we ask it on your behalf anonymously if you prefer.
