Leaving the military? A career in policing could be your best next step.

Northamptonshire Police are hosting a police recruiting event just for serving and former military their family members and friends. For a limited period we are able to offer a route in that does not require a degree.

Come along to the online event to find out more about policing in Northamptonshire. Joining the police is life-changing. Both for you, and for the people you’ll serve. While the career change may feel daunting, you might be more prepared than you think. We value public service, situational awareness, teamwork, physical fitness, IT experience and many more skills you’ll have fine-tuned in the military.

Policing is a rewarding career, giving you the chance to serve your local community, reduce crime, and help keep people safe. And because every day is different, you’ll experience new challenges from dynamic problem-solving to dealing with complex cases and supporting the public through stressful situations. Northamptonshire Police is a county force tackling big-city issues.

Former military personnel now serving with our force will be present to talk about how their military service prepared them for being a police officer. The training team will be on hand to explain that when you join us, you’ll be welcomed into an inclusive and committed police family. Throughout your career you’ll receive ongoing training to make sure you’re always fully equipped to do your job safely and confidently. We also offer support for military leavers, helping you to make the transition, hit the ground running and thrive in an exciting new career.
