Event description
Renowned high energy folk, roots, and rock ‘n’ roll” 6 piece Jon Palmer Acoustic Band + powerful award-winning, harmonious duo Plumhall.

About this Event

A double bill of acclaimed local artists at the superb venue of Queens Hall, Burley in Wharfedale.

The Jon Palmer Acoustic Band is a high energy 6-piece “folk, roots and rock ‘n’ roll” band (based in-and-around the musically vibrant West Yorkshire market town of Otley.) and best described as “a cross between The Pogues and The Oyster Band, with a bit of The Waterboys, The Saw Doctors and the Bruce Springsteen Seeger Sessions Band thrown in”.

They have an enviable reputation for being the “go to” band for finishing off the night in a joyful, energetic, and chorus filled way.

Plumhall is the powerful songwriting partnership of Michelle Plum (ex Chumbwamba /Chris Norman Band) and Nick Hall (Hall Brothers/ex Magna Carter).

Their debut album 'Thundercloud' was highly acclaimed upon release and continues to delight listeners all over the world. Best known for their award-winning songwriting, unearthly harmonies and exceptional musicianship , these qualities have seen the duo sing on stage with Al Stewart at the London Palladium and write and perform an original song for the forthcoming film, The Runaways.

Recently refurbished and with excellent transport links both locally and to Leeds and Bradford, Queens Hall in the wonderful village of Burley in Wharfedale is the perfect venue to host this exciting event.

Cash bar on site throughout the evening.
