Joseph Thomson`s Forgotten Exploration of the Atlas Mountains
Mon 27 March 2017, 19:00 – 21:00 BST
Award winning author and all round mountain man Hamish Brown, will take us on an intriguing visit to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, where Scottish explorer Joseph Thomson trekked and opened-up new routes, in 1888.
Brown has been fascinated by the life and legacy of Joseph Thomson, ever since he first heard of him whilst stationed in Kenya in the 1950s. He has now visited all of the areas in Africa that Thomson explored, and has a great story to tell, which will finally take us to the area he is most familliar with and passionate about: The Atlas Mountains.
