Awards for 2021

• The Josephine Butler Award 2021 - Micah Liverpool .

• The Josephine Butler Women of the Year 2021 - Marian Pope formerly the Relationships then Lifelong Learning Officer in the Diocese and now the Training and Development Manager of the Mothers’ Union.

• The Josephine Butler Fellowship Award 2021 - Jen Williams who was a Tsedequah member and had done much work on domestic abuse and trafficking.

• The Josephine Butler Volunteer of the Year 2021 - Neil Cunningham . Neil is the Coordinator for Churches Together in the Merseyside Region’s Support for Asylum Seekers Project which gifts grants to asylum seekers and works closely with Asylum Link and other agencies.

Competition

• Competition with Liverpool Hope University asking students to submit a piece of art, drama or music on the theme of domestic abuse. There will be three prizes – one of £1,000 and two of £500.

Awards for 2020

• The Josephine Butler Award 2020 - Shoreline Church which is a very vibrant and ecumenically minded Assemblies of God Church that does splendid work through its food bank and counselling.

• The Josephine Butler Women of the Year 2020 - Debbie Shelley MBE with her fantastic work with the Bootle Team Ministry where she has been Community Development Manager since 2009 overseeing a range of projects including South Sefton Food Bank and initiatives based in the Community Centre be an excellent Women of the Year was approved.

• The Josephine Butler Fellowship Award 2020 - Professor Bryce Evans Lecturer at Hope University who has strong overseas links.

• The Josephine Butler Volunteer of the Year 2020 - Revd Paul Rooney , Head of Geography at Hope and RC Permanent Deacon in St Helens and a Team Leader for Street Pastors.
