Event description

Description

Publication is a crucial element in the training of postgraduate students. Josie Dixon (Lucian Consulting: www.lucianconsulting.com) is a highly skilled specialist in international publishing, with a world-class reputation as a trainer for postgraduate students and publishers, having been a leading practitioner in the publishing industry herself. This workshop concentrates on articles, focusing on how to present a scholarly argument and highlight the contribution made to the field, with insights on what journal editors look for, the peer-review process, the production and afterlife of an article.

This workshop is designed for postgraduate students who have reached an advanced stage in their research and writing. It is part of a series on Publishing and Research Communication for postgraduates at different stages in their research, helping them think about how to shape their career profile and the challenge of publishing their work.
