Join us for a fascinating film and discussion about life in Cuba aimed at learners of Spanish. This is a unique opportunity for schools to combine cultural learning with media education. Take your students on a whirlwind tour of Cuba with the Gonzalez sisters as they uncover family roots, sample local delights, and share the colour, rhythm, and energy of this extraordinary island nation. Bursting with fun and discovery, 'Journey Cam: Cuba' is the perfect introduction to Cuban culture through the eyes of young people.
There will be interactive activities on the day to encourage participation and learner engagement.
The screening will be followed by a special Q&A with Hugo Rivalta and Dani Acosta, giving students a chance to explore how the film was made and what it’s like to tell real-life stories on screen.
The Havana Glasgow FIlm Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and the screening event is supported by SCILT and International School Partnerships Scotland.
