Event description
We're bringing together some of the best minds to shape the future of transport. Are you ready to join the journey?

About this Event

Will we still own cars in the future?

Will we still hail taxis on the high street?

How will our children travel to school?

What will London smell like with less pollution?

Smart Mobility Living Lab (SMLL) is the UK’s most advanced connected urban testbed, using public & private roads in London to safely develop and validate new transport technologies. It brings together world-leading expertise from across the transport, technology and academia sectors, including TRL, Cisco, DG Cities, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Cubic, Loughborough University and Transport for London.

The day will feature a series of panel discussions with SMLL experts, members of our Shared Research Programme and other special guests, who will tackle some of the burning questions that exist around the impact driverless cars will have on how we get from A to B.

Here's a taste of what you can expect:

  • 15:00 - Opening remarks from TRL
  • 15:15 - Debate on the future of transport and the big questions from industry experts and special guests
  • 16:15 - Debate on the future of CAVs in London and the role of Smart Mobility Living Lab from TRL, Cisco, TfL, DG Cities and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
  • 17:15 - Networking drinks and canapes
