Our first event held on the 29th November 2023 had over 40 BAME community sector leaders attend alongside NHS and Southwark’s Health Authority decision makers all joining in on conversations focused on tackling systemic health inequalities.

4 pledges were committed by the NHS and Southwark’s Health Authority decision makers . A further 8 asks were put forward by the BAME community Sector Leaders as solutions to addressing health inequalities and working with decsion makers from the South East Lodon Integrated Care Board to ensure that the ICS VCS Charter is successful?

Our 2nd event builds on part one's conversations and we are delighed to invite decsion makers from the NHS and Southawark's Health Authority who once again will sit side by side with BAME community sector leaders to respond to the pledges and asks put forward in November.

This March event promises to dig deeper as BAME community sectoir leaders and decision makers work togethr to find solutions for the pledges and asks that emerged in November.

Why should you attend the event

Find out more about BAME led Community Organisations delivering health and care services that address health inequalities

Join in the conversation about understanding and acknowledge the unequal power between NHS and local authority decision makers and how this can be shifted to a more relationship

Contribute to develop pledges and asks agreed on 29th November by Decision makers and BAME community sector leaders into specific actions and plans

Target Audience - BAME community sector leaders whose organisations/ groups are providing health and social care services in Southwark
