Joyful Body
Overview
✨ The Joyful Body ✨
This monthly movement exploration is a space to drop into your most authentic self in the gentle hold of a community of dancers.
My story
Born from a deep personal journey through surviorship and postpartum darkness, The Joyful Body practice became my lifeline. It is now my deepest honour to share it with you.
This dedicated movement space is a monthly experience designed for participants to explore the full spectrum of emotion - from grief to joy - in a safe, trauma-informed space. With no choreography and beautiful music, we create an intentional space to step into your most authentic self, softly loosening the layers and experiencing yourself unfold. Together, through somatic practices, partner/group work (always optional), and a live vocal sound bath to soothe our nervous system, we nourish our spirit and reconnect to our bodies - a bold and joyful life force. We close in ceremony with reflection, ancestral reverence, herbal tea, and the hold of community.
I am a queer, woman/nonbinary person. Our group welcomes all women including cis and trans women. Joyful body is also offered to marginalised genders, including women, women-identifying individuals, non- binary and gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experience of women in movement.
