Free parking available and nearby (Nell Lane) if you bring your car.

Join us for an 8 mile ride to Station South Cycle Cafe, Levenshulme. Suitable for those comfortable on cycle paths and quiet roads. Speed is a relaxed pace at 6-7 mph that is ridden at the pace of the slowest rider. We'll be cycling along the Fallowfield Loop (Floop) .

Meeting point is at Chorlton Park Carpark, Nell Lane, Chorlton, M21 7SJ next to the Tibetan Kitchen, cafe in the park. Opposite Chorlton High School. Parking is available nearby (Nell Lane). NOTE - NOT Chorlton Water Park.

Please be on time as we are not able to wait for latecomers.

  • Beginners Plus ride of 8 miles returning to the start.
  • Relaxed pace, moderate at 6-7 mph that suits the slowest rider.
  • Mostly off road and relatively flat riding tracks with up and down sections.
  • Suitable for all bike types including road bikes, the terrain has tarmac paths.
  • Cyclist: Riders who are happy on tracks, shared Cycle paths and quiet roads.
  • Riders should be dressed in comfortable clothing suitable for the day's weather.
  • Bring a lock to secure your bike.
  • Purchase or bring a hot drink and snack. Card and cash accepted.
  • Arrive by 9.55am for introductions, overview of ride and bike checks. We will leave at 10am

All our rides have trained leader and a backstop, are relaxed and we never leave anyone behind. No Lycra needed!

Please check your bike the night before the ride and on the day that the tyres are correctly inflated and that the brakes work. Allow yourself plenty of time to find parking and remove and ready your bike, if coming by car.

Bring with you:

• A helmet if you wish to wear one

• Water, and snack if you wish

• Cash/card for the Cafe

• A spare inner tube which fits your bike tyre

If for any reason you're no longer able to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your free ticket a few days before. The rides are popular and extremely limited and we can offer your place to another rider.
