Join us for a JoyRiders Manchester women's Beginners ride from Chorlton Park, Carpark off Nell Lane to Platt Fields park in Fallowfield. This is a relaxed ride , mainly off road and along the Fallowfield Loop.

Saturday 20th September at 10am and we aim to return by 1pm

Meeting point: Chorlton Park Car Park, Nell Lane, by the Tibetan Kitchen, Cafe in the Park, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, England, M21 7SJ. Opposite Chorlton High School.

There is a very small car park and also free parking available and nearby (Nell Lane) if you bring your car.

Please be on time as we are not able to wait for latecomers.

  • Beginners Plus ride of approx 7 miles returning to the start. Taking breaks when needed and a refreshment stop mid-way.
  • Relaxed pace, moderate at 6-7 mph that suits the slowest rider.
  • Mostly off road and relatively flat riding tracks with up and down sections.
  • Suitable for all bike types including road bikes, the terrain has tarmac paths.
  • Cyclist: Riders who are happy on tracks, shared Cycle paths and quiet roads.
  • Riders should be dressed in comfortable clothing suitable for the day's weather.
  • Purchase or bring a hot drink and snack. Card and cash accepted.
  • Arrive by 9.55am for introductions, overview of ride and bike checks. We will leave at 10am

All our rides have trained leaders and a backstop, are relaxed and we never leave anyone behind. No Lycra needed!

Please check your bike the night before the ride and on the day that the tyres are correctly inflated and that the brakes work. Please check your route to get to the beginning before the ride. Allow yourself plenty of time to find parking and remove and ready your bike.

Bring with you:

• A helmet if you wish to wear one

• Water, and snack if you wish

• Cash/card for the Cafe

• A spare inner tube which fits your bike tyre

Bring a lock to secure your bike.

If for any reason you're no longer able to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your free ticket a few days before. The rides are popular and extremely limited and we can offer your place to another rider.
