Conference Day

The conference will run from 8am - 6.30pm with a formal dinner in the beautiful, Georgian, Downing College Hall at 7.30pm - 10pm.

 About Downing College

The conference venue is Downing College, Cambridge, the pre-eminent College at which to study law at the University of Cambridge, which itself is the highest ranked law school in the UK.

Downing College in the University of Cambridge was founded in 1800 by the bequest of Sir George Downing.  Set amidst 20 acres of magnificent grounds in the heart of the city, Downing College is a community of committed scholars and students, current and future leaders in their fields.

 For Families

Cambridge is a very family friendly place. You are encouraged to bring a spouse and any children to Cambridge with you, where you can meet with families and spouses of other members of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

An informal gathering of families will take place at Parkers Piece (large park and fields in the Centre of Cambridge), Cambridge CB1 1NA, at 12pm on Friday 11th August for those not attending the conference. Please bring a picnic and enjoy meeting the other families there.

You can also use Parkers Piece as a base to explore. Perhaps your family would like to punt on the River Cam, see the Bridge of Sighs or King's College Chapel or go shopping in the arcades?

Email to be put in touch with other JRCLS families who will be at Cambridge in August.

  Pre-conference Devotional

There will be a pre-conference devotional on the importance of education for LDS youth, interested YSA and their parents held at 7pm on Thursday 10th August 2017 at the Cambridge Chapel, with very special guest speakers: Elder D. Todd Christofferson and of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Dean D. Gordon Smith, BYU Law School.
