Joined Up Care Derbyshire is supporting this exciting programme which is free and available to all staff across Derby and Derbyshire. We aim to improve the health and wellbeing of the people in Derby and Derbyshire, by having more effective conversations, which focus on the individual and what matters to them.

How to have better conversations around mental health?

This three hour virtual session provides an opportunity to have better conversations:

• with people who are struggling

· with people with complex needs

· that address the whole person across mind and body

This facilitated session will give participants skills to;

• recognise the need to open up conversations around mental health

• explore ways to open up conversations around mental health

• practice these skills

• feel confident to listen and respond

• know how to signpost accordingly

What’s the training like?

• this is an interactive online training over Microsoft Teams

• you need access to a computer with a webcam and microphone

• groups are small and includes time in virtual breakout rooms for you to practice your new skills

• places fill up fast so use the red button opposite to reserve a spot

• booking confirmation will be sent via Eventbrite

• a calendar invite to join the training will be sent separately by email within 5 working days. This will contain any additional information
