Joined Up Care Derbyshire is supporting this exciting programme which is free and available to all staff across Derbyshire. We aim to improve the quality of care provided in Derbyshire, by supporting staff to have more effective conversations, which focus on the individual and what matters to them.
What’s the training about?
This spotlight session focuses on supporting self-management conversations. We aim to provide a fun safe place to enhance learning and practice new skills. Building on the skills learned in Core Quality Conversation training you will:
• understand what self-management is
• learn how to frame a self-management conversation
• develop the skills to empower the people you work with manage their own care and support themselves
• gain confidence that the person you are working with has the knowledge and understanding to self-manage
• have a safe space to practice and hone these new approaches
What’s the training like?
• this is an interactive online training over Microsoft Teams
• you need access to a computer with a webcam and microphone
• groups are small and includes time in virtual breakout rooms for you to practice your new skills
How to book a place?
• places fill up fast so use the red button opposite to reserve a spot
• booking confirmation will be sent via Eventbrite
• a calendar invite to join the training will be sent separately by email within 5 working days. This will contain any additional information
