Judging the Effectiveness of Leadership and Management

This half day workshop looks at the guidance for schools and inspectors in the School Inspection Handbook and provides over 150 questions for schools to consider when evaluating the effectiveness of leadership and management in their school. Practical tips, strategies and templates are shared.

Aims

  • To understand how inspectors will evaluate the quality of leadership and management;
  • To enable participants to consider each element of the inspection guidance and reflect on key implications linked to their own school;
  • To understand the link and influence that leadership and management have on all elements of school provision and explore practical strategies to demonstrate effectiveness.

Suitable for Head Teachers, senior leaders, middle leaders, department leaders, phase leaders, Governors
