Judging the Quality of Behaviour

This half day workshop provides senior leaders with opportunities to reflect on the systems and procedures in school that lead to good behaviour and attitudes to learning whilst ensuring that schools ensure statutory guidelines for keeping pupils safe are adhered to. It will consider how to develop a secure evidence base to demonstrate effectiveness.

Aims

  • To understand how inspectors will evaluate the quality of behaviour during inspection;
  • To become aware of key Department for Education (DfE) guidance;
  • To explore a range of key considerations for tracking low-level disruptive behaviour;
  • To have a range of tools/templates to use to audit and evaluate current provision.

Suitable for Head Teachers, senior leaders, middle leaders, department leaders, phase leaders, Governors, pastoral leads
