About this event

This event is now FULLY BOOKED, but you can still watch the Facebook livestream at 7pm on 22 June at http://www.facebook.com/heritagecraftsassociation/live.

Join the Heritage Crafts Association in conversation with calligrapher Julian Waters.

Julian was born and bred into lettering and being creative. At the age of 18 his mother, the great letterer Sheila Waters, found it difficult to identify whether Caroline Minuscule letters were hers or his! Julian worked with the legendary Hermann Zapf RDI, and Hermann asked Julian to take over his classes when Julian was only in his late twenties. However, it is as a letterer in his own right that he has excelled, designing logos, typefaces, CD packaging and titling for books and publications, as well as eye-wateringly crisp and precise lettering in calligraphic artworks. Julian has been featured in the media in his own right and has received many national awards for his work.

The session will take place on Zoom and attendees must register in advance via Eventbrite. Attendees will also have the opportunity submit questions in advance.
