About this event

This summer, the team behind Jumbi Peckham unveil SubSkate: a bold new project expanding their vision into a neighbouring warehouse space for a six-week summer residency, running from 11 July to 19 August.

Built on the same foundations that have made Jumbi one of London’s most respected cultural hubs—community, sound system culture, food, music and connection—SubSkate is both a continuation and an evolution. Curated and programmed by the Jumbi team as well as a select few collaborators, SubSkate transforms the adjacent warehouse into a modular, multi-use space designed for movement.

By day, SubSkate becomes a rolling rink, open to all, offering a space for people to skate, connect and move. As night falls, the space shifts into a bass-reactive dancefloor where embedded subwoofers push low-end frequencies through the floor itself, turning rhythm into architecture and making the dancefloor part of the sound system.
