Come along, network and make new connections with a wide range of businesses at The CEME Centre.
Guest speaker is Katie Smith from Lower Thames Crossing.
The proposed Lower Thames Crossing is part of the biggest investment in the country’s road network for a generation and an essential component in the UK’s future transport infrastructure.
The proposed new road connecting Kent and Essex through a tunnel beneath the Thames will almost double road capacity across the river east of London and ease congestion at the Dartford Crossing, improving journeys for millions of people every year.
Main works bidders have officially been invited to tender for the three major Lower Thames Crossing contracts and begun the process of forming their supply chains, with a particular interest in identifying low carbon innovations that meet the challenging net zero ambitions for the programme.
We are talking to businesses across Kent and Essex to ensure SMEs and local businesses play a key part in the project’s supply chain, with the aim of allocating 30% of all procurement spend on SMEs.
