Description

Junior Jam - our jam-packed music sessions for 4-8 year olds!

With an exciting theme each month - from Space Travel to Loop the Loop - help your little ones develop their musical skills in a fun, friendly and accessible way.

Sessions are free and take place at the Children’s Library at Manchester Central Library. Places are limited (20 children per session) so sign up in advance to secure your spot.

Two 50-minute sessions will take place at 10am and 11am.

All instruments are provided.


Sat 28 Sept - Songwriting

Ever fancied yourself a budding composer or popstar? Come and learn how to pen your very own song and play it live with a band. Led by Kabantu.

Sat 26 Oct - In the Jungle

Who lives in the jungle? What animals will we find there? Tarzan and Jane, monkeys and giraffes - you're all welcome. Led by Kabantu.

Sat 30 Nov - Noisy Toys

Explore sound and science with Noisy Toys as we make instruments out of electronic junk taken from old computers and other household items. Led by Noisy Toys.

Kabantu are a quintet of award-winning musicians and music educators, known for their infectious rhythms and beautiful melodies from around the globe.

About Noisy Toys

Noisy Toys are all about having fun experimenting with sound. They deliver workshops, events and interactive installations connecting science and music together in new ways, including creating amazing instruments out of old computers that people have thrown away.


Delivered in partnership with Manchester Central Library and supported by Youth Music as part of the Alliance for a Musically Inclusive England. The project is made possible by funding from the National Lottery via Arts Council England.
