Sacro will be hosting this free screening of JUNKIE, a bold, unflinching documentary that rips away the stigma and asks the real questions surrounding Scotland’s drug problems.

Scotland has the highest drug death rate in Europe. But behind every statistic is a story.

JUNKIE dives deep into the heart of Glasgow’s addiction crisis, exploring how trauma, environment, poverty, prison, and failed policy create a perfect storm.

Co-created by Hawaii Fivo—a former addict, ex-con, and now artist—and Addiction Worker, Sean Toal—who spent 15 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit—the film combines lived experience with raw storytelling. This isn’t just another drug documentary. It’s a mirror held up to society.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the documentary makers, Hawaii Fivo and Sean Toal.
