Jurassic Coast Trek 2017
Sat 1 July 2017, 07:00 – 22:00 BST
The Jurassic Coast Trek is back! Discover the UK’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site on a challenging 13 or 26 mile trek along Dorset’s stunning coastline.
The 26 mile trek will set off from the beautiful horseshoe bay of Lulworth Cove. You will follow the rugged coastline with some serious climbs and descents, providing breath taking views and dramatic cliff top vistas. The 13 mile trek will join at picturesque Worth Matravers where you will make your way along one of the most scenic sections of the South West Coast Path. The trek finishes in Studland, famous for its sandy beaches and National Nature Reserve. This is a great chance to come together with other supporters of Julia’s House and explore the beauty of this rugged coastline.
If you would like to leave your car at the finish, there will be transport available from Studland before the start of the trek. There will also be transfers available from Wool train station (at the start of the trek) and Wareham train station (at the end of the trek). Transfers are to be booked in advance for £5.00 per person.
Your entry includes:
- A dedicated contact at Julia’s House, who will give you one-to-one support all the way
- Qualified guides
- Route map
- Qualified First Aiders Medical support

13 miles £25
26 miles £30
Your registration fee helps to cover towards the costs of organising the event. It’s the money you raise that helps us to pay for the care and comfort of a local child and their family.
We would love all our trekkers to raise a minimum of £200. This will pay for 6.5 hours care for a poorly child, and respite for an exhausted mum or dad – a chance for them to have a break or catch up on those little everyday tasks the rest of us take for granted.
The Jurassic Coast Line is well known for its spectacular views and challenging hills. The route will take in a variety of terrain with some very steep uphill and downhill sections but you will be rewarded with breath taking views.
