You don't seem to have many dates and times for sessions available - how can I book one?

As a freelancer, my work diary is constantly changing and keeping it updated on Eventbrite is a logistical challenge. The easiest and quickest way to book a session is therefore to contact me directly on piero.vitelli@island41.com so we can agree a time. I'll then make a ticket for you to book here.

Question 2

How long a gap should there be between the first and second session?

That depends on you and your schedule. Time for reflection and practise is really important, so I would suggest that you take at least a week to ten days to give you enough time to practise your presentation a number of times incorporating the ideas we discuss in your first session.

Question 3

How should I prepare my space for the sessions?

Accepted Answer

That's totally up to you, but I would recommend you find somewhere private and quiet to work so you don't need to wear headphones. It's also really helpful if you are able to move, so set your computer up in such a way that you can stand in front of the camera when you present.

Is there anything that my presentation should or shouldn't be about?

No  - you could be a CEO wanting to improve your speech for a conference of thousands, a salesperson honing your pitch, a health & safety officer wanting to give a briefing that better holds attention, a doctoral researcher wanting to update your supervisor on your latest results or anything else.

Do you have a structure to help me organise myself?

Planning is key. 1. Set aside time to create/rehearse before the 1st session. 2. Focus on the one thing you want to fix. 3. Send me your thoughts before 1st session so I can plan. 4. Reflect after the first session. 5. Spend time on the exercises we discuss. 6. Make a note of what works best.

Will you make video recordings of me?

Yes. If you want to improve, it's essential that you can see for yourself what you are doing.

Will you keep the videos?

Accepted Answer

No. You can have a copy if you want, but I won't keep any  after the second session.

Do you offer other training about Presentation Delivery that's about more than 'just one thing'?

Yes. Online I offer 3 hour interactive workshops for groups of between 8 and 100, and face to face I offer either a 3 hour interactive workshop for as many people who can be accommodated or a 2 day intensive workshop for eight. See here for more info: http://bit.ly/4ftehRh
