About this Event

This year, Motown comes to the AR Delta with award-winning producers and artists. It will be the start of a national tour from Dumas to D.C. Headlining the opening date of the tour features Parkes Stewart. Artists across the state are being invited to sign on with the national tour beginning this weekend.

JUST GOD… No Brands, No Labels denotes the simplicity of the Gospel and the works of God from age to age. Keeping it simple but real, God is love and all about FAITH, HOPE, LOVE. Love… from God to all of us and from us back to God and from us one to another. Love is the Key because God is Love. Thus… JUST GOD— No Brands… No Labels. Details for tickets, live streaming, vendors, etc., at www.justgod.today

The event, the 2020 THANKS FOR GIVING Concert and Awards Celebration is set for this Saturday, November 21, from 1pm—5pm at THE LEGACY CENTER in West Dumas located at 501 W. Bowles. It will be live on site and live streamed across the nation.

Recording artist and songwriter Parkes Stewart has made a name for himself. Stewart has many credits in the music industry including two Gospel albums in the early and mid-90s, a self-titled Light Records debut and a wonderful Sophomore project Another Chapter Psalms 51 that is still in rotation till this day. In 2004 he released a soulful project which featured both Gospel and tasteful R/B songs called Heart and Soul Nexus. He has a new Christmas CD, Extraordinary Christmas that he will introduce here in Arkansas.

He has written songs for other artists such as ”Cry On” for 112 on the tribute to Notorious B.I.G. (over 3 million copies sold), ”Open Arms” &” More than Just A Melody” for Yolanda Adams, and one of the biggest hits of all times for Commissioned, ”Ordinary Just Won’t Do” which was used by Dave Hollister.

The College of Aspiring Artists salutes the 20-plus member Dumas REDI Crew who amid heat, rain, cold and pandemic conditions delivered over $350,000 in GoFresh Food Boxes to Dumas residents but also across Arkansas to Desha, Jefferson, Crittenden and Chicot county residents from June through November. These are top on the list who will be honored at the 2020 Annual “THANKS FOR GIVING Concert and Awards Celebration” this Saturday, November 21, from 1pm—5pm at THE LEGACY CENTER in West Dumas located at 501 W. Bowles. It will be live on site and live streamed across the nation.

The College of Aspiring Artists is signing on artists who will be joining the tour that will run from November 21, 2020, through April 4, 2021, and conclude on the National Mall at the MLK Memorial.
