Just Got Made Breakfast Club: "Who made my Clothes?"
Event Information
Description
“Who made my clothes?” is a question being asked more and more by today's consumers. Rosie Martin, author of DIY Couture and No Patterns Needed and Helen Kemp, founder of Just Got Made get together to discuss ethical manufacturing, production visibility and the idea of 'opting out' - is it enough, and is it even possible?
This April's Breakfast Club is part of Fashion Revolution Week: a global movement calling for greater transparency, sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry, encouraging millions of people to ask brands ‘Who made my clothes’ and demand greater transparency in the fashion supply chain.
Rosie Martin: DIY believer. Visual Learner. Fabric Lover. Author of No Patterns Needed, published by Lawrence King Publishers.
Helen Kemp: Is interested in how communities are revolutionising making, craftsmanship and manufacture. Founder of Just Got Made and annual festival The Just Got Made Weekender.
The Just Got Made Breakfast Club happens on the last Friday of every month, to inspire new ideas, answer questions and provide a fun meet up for the maker community!
