Blessed are the peacemakers. Join us to hear stories of reconciliation and to explore how we can seek peace in our everyday lives

About this event

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

We live in a world full of dividing lines. We see division across culture, theology, and identity. We see conflict and violence that has persisted for decades. Nationally and internationally, far away and close to home, while this division may be newly formed, or have historic roots, may be the responsibility of both parties or draw on unjust power dynamics, to all of this Jesus says ‘blessed are the peacemakers.’.

As followers of the Prince of Peace, what would it look like for us to do the hard work of imaginative compassion? To speak truth in the face of injustice but to love with humility and grace? In the midst of the complexities of wrong-doing, forgiveness and systemic injustice, how can we apply Jesus’ call to radical peace to our lives?

Join us to hear amazing stories from Christians who are seeking relationship and reconciliation, both in the UK and internationally, in their day to day lives and on a structural level. We want to listen, to pray, to repent, to lament and to learn how we can be peacemakers in our communities, our workplaces, our relationships and our world today.
