Open to All University of Nottingham Students (who aren't a member of the equestrian club) to come try horseball with the Just Play programme!
Horseball is a team sport that involves passing a ball and shooting into a net - a mix between netball and rugby but on horseback! Open to complete beginners - come and try horseball in a fun, safe environment.
For only £22, you'll get an hour with an instructor to safely guide you, along with your safety equipment and TRAVEL INCLUDED from University Park.
You don't need to have been on a horse before, all abilities and experiences are welcome and encouraged! Bring your friends for a fun afternoon, or a well-needed coursework break and get out of your comfort zone!
On the day:
Transport:
10:30am Collection from David Ross Sports Village
Either 12-1 or 1-2pm: Horseball introduction session with instructor at Leaderham Polo Club
2:15pm Leave Polo Club and arrive back at University Park between 3.15-3.30pm
What to Wear:
Suitable trousers - joggers, leggings etc (no shorts, skirts, dresses)
Suitable shoes - trainers, walking boots etc (No high heels)
Please wear clothes you are comfortable to move in and weather appropriate. Legs and shoulders need to be COVERED.
You'll be supplied a mandatory hat for your safety
You'll be requred to fill in an insurance form and provide an emergency contact at the centre.
You will be asked to enter your height and weight - this data will be kept in the strictest confidence and is only given to the equestrain centre to match you to a horse. In the interest of horse welfare, riders must be matched to a horse that is a suitable size and strength and will be deleted immediately after the event.
