Just4Keepers CI Goalie Wars
Sun 25 June 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
Just4Keepers CI is hosting the first ever 'Goalie Wars' event in Jersey.
Goalie Wars is a 1v1 tournament specific to the Goalkeeping position held in one day. The tournament is for Boys & Girls ages 7 – 17. Group games will determine seedings then a straight knock out will determine the winner in each age category**.
Goalie Wars will be played on approximately a 30 yd long by 20 yd wide field, divided in half by a midfield line. A goal (size depends on age) sits at both ends of the field. Each goalkeeper plays on one half of the field defending their goal, while trying to score on the goal of the opposing goalkeeper.
All proceeds from this event will be going to the 'STEPS' charity - http://www.steps-charity.org.uk - A charity who have provided fantastic support to J4K CI Head Coach Matt Elcock and his family.
**Numbers permitting there will be single year group categories, however there maybe a need to merge multiple age categories
*** Please note there will be a small Eventbrite booking fee on top of the advertisied ticket price.
