After the powerful gathering of 'Obedience is a Step' in January, many of you have expressed a desire for more opportunities to connect with God’s Word. We’ve listened, and we are excited to invite you to a special monthly Bible study series titled Wise Women in the Word, led by the lovely Dr. Joan Myers OBE.

This series will explore the stories of six remarkable women from the Bible, one woman at a time, across six sessions. Dr. Joan will bring their stories to life, connecting their experiences with our everyday lives and circumstances. Her goal is to offer hope and encourage a closer relationship with God as we walk through their journeys together.

These sessions will be interactive. After each session, we will include a prayer and declaration, and Joan will provide copies of PowerPoint slides (if used) for reflection, meditation, and prayer.

Who is this study for?
This series is for any woman seeking to grow deeper in her faith and understanding of God’s Word. Whether you're looking for a deeper connection with Scripture, a supportive community, or simply a space to grow closer to God, this study is for you.

• Personal growth and strengthened faith

Through this study, we’ll discover how to step out in obedience, trust in God’s promises, and grow in our faith. We can’t wait to explore, learn, and grow together as a community of women.

Dr. Joan Myers OBE

Joan Myers is a much sought after anointed and inspirational speaker who has travelled extensive on preaching engagements in England, USA, the West Indies as well as Africa She has been serving in ministry for nearly 38 years, she loves the Word of God and has a passion for souls for God’s Kingdom. Joan is a recipient of a Inspirational Christian Wise Woman Award in 2019.

Joan is also a member of Five2Medics a charity affiliated with Ascension Trust which provides practical and psychological support to health and social care professionals during the pandemic.

Joan is a multi-award winning inspirational nurse and leadership, she has developed children’s community nursing services across the NHS and received a Special Recognition Zenith Global Health Award 2018 for mission work in Kenya, Uganda and Ghana. Joan has a children’s charity in Kenya providing education and food sponsorship to 25 poor and vulnerable children. Joan received special recognition Woman 4 Africa Award in 2023 for outstanding contribution to health in Africa. She recently received Health Advocacy Award at Minister Appreciation Ball in May 2024

She is passionate about empowering, encouraging and challenging people to progress, do well and excel in their chosen field of study or career. Her Independent consultancy company offerscoaching, mentorsing and career support.

Joan is a Fellow & Trustee of the Queen’s Nurses Institute. Joan was honoured with a an OBE for services to children and nursing in the Queen’s Birthday honours list in 2013. She is a Queen’s Nurse and has an honorary doctorate from Middlesex University in London. Joan was voted one of the top 50 most influential black people in the English National Health Service (NHS) in 2020 & 2021.
