Justice as Attitude Club
* for UAL Staff and Students only* - Canteen on 10th floor.
the club meets once per term to help designers who are interested in radical design approaches and investigate how to change the fashion system. We believe that fashion can do more, and better - and fashion education has great potential as a medium to implement justice and reinvent itself along the way.
Bring your questions, your projects and your thoughts to share and discuss.
As suggested by you at our last meeting, we will start our very own podcast!
- bring a theme, a detail, a topic you want to explore in the podcast and lets start drafting this format - highlighting individuals, practices and current signals we think any fashion designer should be aware of and follow to create a more just, critical and expanded fashion practice.
No idea for a podcast but still interested to meet likeminded and mingle, listen to what the club wants to achieve and simply hang out for a drink on a Thursday afternoon? No problem, you are welcome to join us.
We are asked to prioritize ethics and moral values in our daily conversations - but the fashion industry's complexities keep us repeating the same mistakes. We need your voice to challenge the status quo and envision a future where creativity can support climate and social and technological justice and be fun at the same time. We invite you to an honest dialogue, a critical examination, and a creative exploration.
