K-Club invite Manchester female entrepreneurs and professionals to an exclusive lunchtime event, kindly hosted by DWF.
In support of Manchester-based charity, Smart Works, we invite you to join us for a buffet lunch and to hear from our inspiring speaker - Joëlle Warren - who is passionate about improving the gender balance in boardrooms. Joëlle will be sharing her tips drawn from her experience as a headhunter specialising in Chair and Non-Executive appointments, on landing your first NED role; from the perfect CV to nailing the interview.
Joëlle is Executive Chairman of Warren Partners and leads non-executive director and Chair searches, in addition to delivering Strategic Board Review services. Drawing on her expansive experience, genuine warmth and incisive mind, she helps Chairs develop high-performing boards – as well as playing a key role in talent pipeline management.
Passionate about improving effectiveness in the boardroom through achieving the right balance of skills, diversity and experience, Joëlle is an active member of the 2% Club; dedicated to bringing about a better balance of male and female executives at board level.
Smart Works helps women from disadvantaged and difficult backgrounds to get into the workplace, by supplying them with the tools they need to make the most powerful, professional and stylish first impression. Whether it is an outfit for interview or first day of work, or through provision of coaching, training and workshops, they give hope to those who may otherwise feel they have been left behind.
“You have brought real change to me – not just the clothes and the advice, but the feeling of being worthy.”
Clothing drive: We would ask you to have a look in your wardrobe to see if you have any smart workwear that you no longer love, fit, or need that you would be willing to donate to this worthy charity. DWF have a collection point in their Manchester office and items can be dropped off in advance of the event or on the day itself.
