In support of Manchester-based charity, Smart Works, we invite you to join us for the opportunity to network over a buffet lunch and to hear from our inspiring speaker - Yvonne Williams. The career crossroads…
Calling all mid-career professionals! Are you are an emotional crossroads in your career? Is it your head or heart that will make your next move?
Working week in, week out. Working hard. A high-flyer, a change-maker. But what happens when a change occurs? Enforced or through choice, taking those tentative steps towards something completely different can be a daunting and worrying time.
You are invited to join the UK’s Leading Mindset Coach, Yvonne Williams, as she shares how to create a crystal clear vision for life beyond the career crossroads. You’ll also uncover your hidden challenges that might be sabotaging your ability to decide ‘What next?’. You will leave the event feeling energised, renewed and inspired to finally have the focus and skills to move into a new and exciting season.
Yvonne’s career spans over 20 years in the occupational health and wellbeing sector, with roles with the leading private healthcare providers, as well as growing her own £ multi-million wellbeing consultancy. In 2010 she decided to move into coaching and empowering other women to manage work and life and retrained as a stress management coach. She also was invited to join the Board of the ISMA UK, a registered charity with a multi-disciplinary professional membership formed to promote sound knowledge and best practice in the prevention and reduction of human stress. It sets professional standards for the benefit of individuals and organisations using the services of its members.
She has appeared on ITV’s Lorraine Show as ‘The Mindset Coach’ and is often called upon by entrepreneurs and celebrities alike, who are looking to make significant mid-career changes and are looking for a quick and effective changes that help them move forward with resilience.
Yvonne recognises the need for women to feel empowered, to have confidence from within, and how important it is that we see the bigger picture in everything that life throws at us.
Smart Works helps women from disadvantaged and difficult backgrounds to get into the workplace, by supplying them with the tools they need to make the most powerful, professional and stylish first impression. Whether it is an outfit for interview or first day of work, or through provision of coaching, training and workshops, they give hope to those who may otherwise feel they have been left behind.
We will hear from one of their volunteer interview coaches as she tells how she uses the skills gained in her own career as a head teacher to guide women through that nerve-wracking first interview.
“Being unemployed for a long time and being unsuccessful in so many applications had really impacted negatively on my sense of self worth and confidence. I didn’t really believe in myself at interview which I am sure showed, and I know I wasn’t instilling confidence in the people interviewing me. Coming to Smart Works gave me a real confidence boost, it was a fantastic experience."
