Event Description:
Born in Algiers to Berber Kabylian parents and now based in France, Kader Fahem grew up immersed in the sounds of bendirs, darbukas, mandole, and yuyus. After years of musical exploration — from the passion of Andalusian flamenco to the freedom of jazz — he returned to his roots, weaving Maghreb’s music into his sound.
The result is the Nomad Project: a musical “Gibraltar Strait” connecting the shores of the Mediterranean and opening outward to Atlantic jazz.
For this special evening at Kismet Cafe, Kader Fahem will be joined by Abdelkader Saadoun, founder of Takaleed Entertainment, bringing their combined artistry to the stage for a vibrant cross-cultural performance.
Abdelkader Saadoun is a renowned master of RAI music – which originates from traditional Algerian and world music (Chaabi, Kabil, Gnawa and Andalusian) and also encompasses Pop, Flamenco, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Reggae, Fusion, and Blues. Mr Saadoun is a composer, singer, song writer, educator, plays oud, mandola, percussion and drums.
Expect a night of music that transcends borders — where North African rhythms meet flamenco fire, and improvisation flows into tradition.
