Taiko is a full body, holistic experience...it's soul enriching, physically exhilarating and an ancient art form! Come feel the deep vibrant pulse.

Learn the basics of Japanese drumming, bring out the spirit of the drums and awaken dragons. Learn the stance, use of the bachi (drumsticks) and your body to draw up the energy from the waves!

To ensure as many people as possible get to enjoy the workshops we ask individuals to only book for one session.

There are only 6 spaces available for each session. If you have booked a ticket and can no longer attend, please inform us by emailing info@margatefestival.org.

COVID Guidelines:

1. Bring and wear your own mask to cover nose and mouth

2. Wear gloves provided

3. Observe 2m spacing

4. No audience, only drummers

5. Accept guidance of event staff

6. Enter and leave by indicated doors, (observe 1 way system)

7. Enjoy Taiko!

We will keep a record of these details for 21 days in order to assist with the NHS Test and Trace scheme.
