10.00 AGM starts

1. President’s Introduction.

2. To receive apologies for absence.

3. To confirm the Minutes of the 72nd Annual General Meeting (enclosure) and consider any matters arising.

4. To receive and adopt the Annual Report and Accounts for 2019/2020 (enclosure).

5. To confirm Officers for the ensuing year:

5.1 President – To NOTE that John Rivers was re- elected in 2018 for a 3-year term of office. A Pen-picture can be viewed in the Annual General Meeting section of the KALC website www.kentalc.gov.uk

5.2 Vice-Presidents – To NOTE that the following Vice-Presidents were re-elected in 2018 or 2019 for a 3-year term of office. Short pen-pictures can be viewed on the KALC website www.kentalc.gov.uk/:

5.3 Auditor - To NOTE that Kreston Reeves was appointed as Auditor in 2018 for a 3-year term.

6. To note the appointment of the Executive Committee for the ensuing year as required by the Constitution. Please note that KALC Area Committees elect their 2 Executive Committee representatives at their Area Committee Annual Meeting.

7. To agree the subscription scale for the forthcoming year proposed by the Executive Committee (enclosures).

8. To receive and adopt the revised KALC Constitution (enclosure).

9. To receive and adopt the revised KALC 3-Year Strategic Plan and Annual Action Plan (enclosures).

10. To debate a motion from Swale Area Committee:

To request that KALC and NALC should lobby Government to introduce legislation that: -

All drive through food outlets print on all packaging of sold items the vehicle registration number from which occupants made the purchase and such printing include the time, date and venue of that purchase. Packaging is defined as materials used to wrap or pack food or drink.

An offence shall be created, that any such packaging having been discarded unlawfully and located within a period of 24 hours from the time of purchase, that the driver of the vehicle at the time of the purchase shall be deemed responsible for the offence of litter.

It shall be a defence for the driver of the vehicle to provide the name and address of any passenger deemed responsible for discarding litter at the time of the said offence.

Any offence to be dealt with by way of Fixed Penalty Notice.

The registered keeper of the vehicle would be formally requested to supply the name and address of the driver at the time of the purchase and it shall be an offence for the registered keeper to fail to supply such details when required to do so.

11. Calendar of Training Events and Meetings for the remainder of 2020/2021 and for 2021/2022 (enclosure).

12. Any Other Business will be accepted only:

a) upon a motion proposed on behalf of the Executive Committee, or

b) at the discretion of the Chairman of the meeting - if written notice

of it is received by the Chief Executive at least 10 clear days

before the meeting (i.e. no later than Tuesday 17th November
