KATHARSIS: Purification through Art - Launch Night
Event Information
About this Event
In Amarno Inai's debut solo exhibition, KATHARSIS: Purification Through Art, he chronicles his lived experience with mental health. Through a series of illustrations, KATHARSIS marks key periods in Amarno's life, from dealing with depression and anxiety to self-actualisation through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (C.B.T) and spiritual guidance.
The exhibition explores how art can be used to draw out turbulent emotions and inner conflicts which often cannot be explained through words.
Inai’s work not only seeks to bring an end to a chapter in his own life but to bring revelation and healing to black men and the wider community through the arts.
