The Scottish Poetry Library is pleased to host Kathleen MacInnes, Tiarnan Ó Duinnchinn & Laoise Kelly for the final performance in their spring tour. This event is part of our weekend showcasing Gaelic language and tradition as part of the Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology and coinciding with the Edinburgh Local Mòd.
Kathleen MacInnes is a well loved performer in the Gaelic music scene with a captivating voice and extraordinary repertoire of traditional Gaelic songs. She is from the island of South Uist and has also appeared in film and on TV. She both acted in and sang on the soundtrack to "Seachd -The Inaccessible Pinnacle" which the SPL will be showing earlier in the day at the University of Edinburgh (tickets also available via Eventbrite).
Accompanying Kathleen will be Irish harpist Laoise Kelly who has three critically acclaimed solo albums and Uillean piper Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn who has been regularly touring and performing across the world since 1995.
Taking place in the mezzanine space of the Scottish Poetry Library this intimate concert will be an event not to be missed.
