Katie Pham + the Moonbathers / The Golden Age of TV / Forestfires
Event Information
Description
SHE is a night promoting women in the music industry. This time around we have an indie pop/rock line-up featuring Katie Pham+the Moonbathers, The Golden Age of TV and Forestfires and we will be celebrating International Women's Week!
Katie Pham and the Moonbathers describe themselves as “slop shop pop rock”.This band marks the culmination of years of friendship, love and partying between the enigmatic Jack Athey and the sultry Katie Pham. The marriage of the two makes a disco-surf love child inspired by the likes of Erykah Badu and Shintaro Sakamoto.
The Golden Age Of TV are an indie art-rock quintet based in Leeds, United Kingdom. Whip-smart drums lock in with gloriously fuzzed out glam bass, disconcertingly swirling guitars bounce around your ears whilst vocalist Bea Fletcher sweetly delivers her personal tale of childhood anxiety. They have had a busy start to their career since forming just over a year ago. With only two tracks released, Dust and Between Each Brick, they grabbed the ear of BBC Radio 1 new music doyen Huw Stephens, as well as airplay from 6 Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio. Further to this came praise and hype from the online tastemaker sphere, notably from DIY and Clash.
Forestfires are a 4-piece Pop/Blues band based in Manchester with similarities to artists such as John Mayer, Bon Iver, The 1975 and Fleetwood Mac.
