KCC CLASSICAL CONCERT
Date and time
KOREAN CULTURAL CENTRE UK X HUNGARY COLLABORATION
About this event
The KCC UK and KCC Hungary Collaboration Concert will be held on the 16th of June at St James’s Church, Piccadilly at 7pm.
Pianist Hyun-Kyung Lee from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary will play music by J.S Bach, G. Ligeti and C. Debussy. The Flarpiola Trio from the Royal College of Music, consisting of a flute, viola and harp, will perform T. Dubois, V. Horovitz and C. Debussy.
This is a very special event for us as we’ve invited a young Korean artist from Hungary. With this event, we hope that we can introduce a wide variety of such cultural collaborations across borders and present more upcoming Korean artists to new audiences.
Whether you’re a big fan of Claude Debussy, or unfamiliar with his work, this will be a wonderful chance to enjoy his music. One of his most famous songs, Clair de Lune, will be played later in the evening.
Debussy’s songs will not only be played on piano, but also on flute, viola and harp. This will be a rare and outstanding repertoire so do not miss out on your chance to join our concert in June.
