This two hour workshop will be led by The Craft House’s creative writing tutor, Alyson Faye.*

This workshop is for those who wish progress their writing – whether it’s poetry, flash fiction, short stories, longer works e.g. novella, or memoir, either for themselves and family, or for self-publication and/or submitting to blogs, e-zines, magazines, and online fiction markets (non-paying or paying).

It is designed to build on the foundations of the workshop I tutored previously at The Craft House, Getting started with your writing - finding your voice - Part 1, but it will also operate as a stand alone workshop for those who have started writing.

Now you have started writing many folk ask – how do I keep going? Or build a writing habit? How do I plan and finish my project? How do I make the dialogue sparkle? How do I best edit and then submit my work? Where and to whom do I submit my work? How valuable are writing competitions? What about joining a writing group?

In this workshop Alyson will look at these questions, provide tips, takeaway printed information sheets, with lists of sites/magazines/markets and provide editing advice.

We will use visual and audio prompts/practise writing dialogue, work in pairs, and do writing/editing exercises. There will be opportunity for tutorial feedback during the workshop.

Price is £25 per person.
