Event description

Description

These one-day interactive workshops, led by education experts under the Chatham House Rule, aim to help schools and colleges meet their risk control obligations in relation to educational guardianship for international students.

Programme:

Challenging Times – How Much Trouble Are We Really In?

Educational guardianship practices are unregulated, leaving schools vulnerable and exposed to significant risk. We look at the current state of educational guardianship and argue the case for a more positive way forward for schools. As a group we identify key hazards inherent in educational guardianship and begin to consider the overall risk profile for schools.

Safeguarding our International Students

Schools must adopt a more coherent and robust set of practices if they are to keep not only themselves but their international students safe.

Crisis, What Crisis? A Case Study

When you’re in the hot seat, you need to know that your students are safe. A former headmaster describes his experiences and presents a case study of an incident.
