Description

Please note that booking has now closed for this event. If you would still like to join, please email jennifer.mckelvin@lawcf.org

While most will be aware that the law provides protection for religious belief, this event aims to provide a helpful overview on how equality law is directly applicable in the workplace, and will feature examples of how faith can be celebrated to the benefit of all.

Join us as we delve into the big questions surrounding expressions of faith in the workplace, with a focus on the applicable legal regime and the great opportunities that exist for employers to cultivate an inclusive and enfranchising work environment.

The event coincides with the launch of a practical resource for employers and employees alike entitledChristianity in the Workplace which is intended to serve as a quick-reference guide on the topic from a Christian perspective. Copies of the resource will be distributed to participants.

The evening will feature panel discussions with a diverse group of legal experts, business leaders and member of faith groups, who will be speaking about their experience of faith in the workplace from different perspectives. Following a time of discussion, there will be an opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions to the panel. Closing remarks will be provided by Katie Harrison, the director of the Faith Research Centre at ComRes.

Drinks and canapes will be provided after the formal sessions if you would like to continue the conversation.

This event is free of charge, but please do register in advance to ensure that you will be allowed access into the Law Society Building.
