Ever dreamed of an extra-special container for your precious posessions?
In this hands-on creative workshop, make your very own a keepsake box inspired by traditional Japanese book boxes and the Foundling Museum's collection of precious tokens.

You will take home a unique, handcrafted box which is both functional and sentimental - a place to hold objects with personal significance. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is needed.
This workshop is open to anyone aged 18-30 and tickets are extremely limited so please only book if you are sure you can attend.
About your facilitator:
Toben’s lifelong passion for books led him from working as a book designer in the publishing industry, through a hobby in letterpress printing, to finally finding and falling in love with the ancient craft of bookbinding. Since stumbling into the world of bookbinding he has studied the subject intensely, both the physical craft and engineering of it alongside the history of the practice worldwide. Toben works out of his bindery on the Isle of Iona producing design bindings, undertaking book repairs, and teaching bookbinding. He is a Licentiate of Designer Bookbinders, and his bindings are exhibited internationally and held in both public and private collections.
