Is the Meeting House accessible?

Yes, we have level access and an accesible toilet on the ground floor. There is also some disabled parking adjacent to the entrance.

Is there ample car parking?

Not really. There is some, but we like to leave it for people with disabilities. You could drive in to drop things off and then park somewhere nearby? Its not too difficult on a Sunday.

Yes, but unless everyone brings something it won't be a very big lunch!

Are you limiting numbers?

Yes, we expect about 20 to attend from our Quaker community, and are offering the same number of tickets to the public. We hope this will allow us to move around and chat, as well as eating.

What drinks are being provided?

We will have tea and coffee with a range of non dairy milks available, and water of course. Do bring any other drinks that you want.

Kendal Quakers are far from expert on vegan food, but are trying to be more sustainable in all areas of our lives. In this year's "Quaker Week" we would like others in our community to join us in a simple vegan lunch, to both celebrate and learn from each other.

If you live in and around Kendal, and are interested in Vegan food (and what Quakers get up to these days) please consider joining us for lunch in our Meeting House on Stramongate at on Sunday 28th September . If you are able to, please bring a dish or two of vegan food FOR SHARING, with a FULL list of ingredients* that will be placed beside the dish so that allcomers can see exactly what they are eating. (Different people define their veganism differently)

Do arrive from 12.15 onwards. There is some car parking at the Meeting House, but not much , so please walk or park nearby if you are able.

*We, and we hope everyone else, will be following the food safety guidelines for providing and sharing food at community or charity events.
