Description

Continuing a 7 year legacy, the annual Kendrick and Reading Schools' Air Ambulance Charity Concert will take place on the 8th of March this year.

In 2011, the Thames Valley Air Ambulance saved the life of Toby Darrington, a Reading school pupil who was hit by a car while on cycling on Oxford Road. The next year, his sister Alicia started the Kendrick and Reading Schools' Air Ambulance Charity Concert, and it has been thriving ever since, becoming a firm school tradition, with students rehearsing, performing, conducting and often arranging much of the music themselves, and raising thousands of pounds for the charity over the years.

All proceeds and donations will go directly to the TVAA, funding their life-saving service across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire, for which they receive no governmental financing.

The concert will showcase musical talent from both schools, including a joint choir and orchestra, a saxophone ensemble, Reading School's Bantershop and soloists from each school! The fun and varied programme includes music from Grieg's 'Peer Gynt' suite, the film 'Up', Bette Midler and many more. A raffle will also take place on the night with some excellent prizes up for grabs.

Reserve your tickets online and pay a donation on the door - suggested donation £7, free for under 10s.

The evening promises to be lively and enjoyable while raising money for a fantastic cause, and we hope to see you there!
