Kennington, let's discover a place of many firsts!

By Christina Fitzgerald

Overview

Join us in Kennington, from parks to protests, princes to pottery! Back by popular demand!

Join qualified Lambeth Tour Guide Christina on a 2-hour guided walk to discover Kennington, and much more besides. We'll wander through the beautiful & historical Kennington park & charming 19th century streets and square.

Together we'll hear of fascinating firsts such as the art school and well known pottery establishment who encouraged women to flourish in Victorian times. We find out about visionary people, the occasional mischievious individual and movements that had a significant impact on changing society from the Chartists and Abolitionist Movement to the longest running squatted street in London.

This is a step free walk, starting outside Kennington Station and ending close to Oval Station.
