Online event

Autistic young people in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster! Join us on Zoom, once a month, to talk about becoming an autistic adult.

About this event

This is a free workshop/ group for autistic young people, aged 14-19 years, who don't have a learning disability. You must live in Harrow and Brent to access this group.

You don't need to have an official diagnosis. If you think you are autistic or have self-diagnosed you are welcome to join us.

Thinking About Adulthood is a relaxed Zoom chat that will give you a chance to explore topics about adulthood that you may have questions about.

We will think about "real world" things that you may not have learnt in school like;

-Relationships- making and keeping friends.

-Work- how to get and keep a job.

-Social opportunities- finding other people with shared interests.

-Adult responsibilities and how the law changes when you turn 18- benefits, housing, employment

-Staying safe- on a night out with your friends, online, at social events

And anything else you can think of.

Ask us questions that you haven't yet found an answer to!

Sessions run on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:30pm-8pm and you are welcome to keep cameras and mics off to listen- or get stuck in to debates and conversation. Up to you.

We will be running this group for these other London boroughs on different days-

Harrow and Brent- every 3rd Wedensday of the month

Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham- every 4th Wednesday of the month

Hillingdon and Ealing- every 4th Thursday of the month
