Housing schemes have become the most prevalent form of development coming forward for planning in Kent. This Masterclass gives you the skills and knowledge you need to assess the schemes at pre-application stage to ensure they meet the highest standards of design quality. A step-by-step process will give you the confidence to assess housing schemes and provide robust guidance for developers.
In this Masterclass, you will have:
- Understood key urban design principles that enhance the quality of housing schemes
- Been introduced to a number of tools to help you with your assessment
- Applied your knowledge and skills to a live housing scheme
- Provided robust evidence to support the improvement of a housing scheme
This event is free for Kent Design members within their membership package allocation.

There are two sessions for this masterclass;
Morning session: Assessing housing schemes; lower density, edge of settlement.
Afternoon session: Assessing housing schemes; higher density, town centre
Sessions are sold separately, not as a day package. You will be able to book to attend the whole day by selecting both the AM and PM ticket.
