Description

Kent Refugee Help’s (10th Anniversary) Art Exhibition and AGM

The AGM will be held at St Paul’s, Church Street, Canterbury CT1 1NH on Saturday 15 July 2017 at 11 am -2 pm. There will be reports on our prison work, Invited speakers include Florence Odongo, a social worker with asylum seeking children and young people, and a former child refugee.

The AGM will be followed by an exhibition entitled I Live Here , which will be held at Conquest House Gallery 17 Palace Street, Canterbury, CT1 2DZ. There will be a private view on Saturday 15th July at 3-6pm, and the exhibition will be available between then and July 29.

I Live Here features paintings, prints and drawings by Kate Adams, Chris Bird and Henry Cockburn in support of Kent Refugee Help. Proceeds of sales will be donated to Kent Refugee Help.

Also featuring audio-visual artworks by emerging Syrian artists living in Lebanon – Shahd Kheto- Mohammed Shurbaji- Hassan Akoul -Mahabba Gharzeddine - Mohamed Aljunde -Abdel Rahman Morad – in a showcase called The Scene From the Bekaa supported by Seenaryo, Dictaphone Group and Women Now. Proceeds of sales will be donated to refugee children in Lebanon.
